Paratype : CAMEROON : 1 ♀ : same locality as holotype, 23.iii.1981 , 1800 m , montane forest with fern trees, pitfall , Bosmans & Van Stalle ( MRAC 162126 ) . Diagnosis: Females of P. paucigranulata are recognized by the poorly developed warts on the carapace and the epigyne with a dark straight posterior margin with a small central indentation. Etymology: The species name is an adjective referring to the reduced number of small warts on the carapace. Description: Female ( holotype , MRAC 162119). Total l 5.60. Carapace yellow-brown, covered with thinly dispersed tiny warts, l: 2.25; w: 2.00. Sternum smooth, l: 1.20; w: 1.25. Abdomen greyish brown, without do scutum. Legs yellow, not warted. Leg spination: fe: I pl 0-0-0-1-1 pl 0-1-0; II 0-1-0; III do 0-1-0; IV do 0-1-0; ti: I ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2-2-2-2; III pl 0-1-0 rl 0-1-0 ve 0-2-0; IV pl 1-0-1 rl 1-0-1 ve 0-2-0; mt: I ve 2-2-2-2; II ve 2-2-2-2; III pl 1-0-0 ve 2-0-2; IV pl 1-0-0 rl 1-0-0 ve 2-0-2. Epigyne ( Figs 57A, B , 59I ): a featureless darkened area with black transverse line in centre of posterior margin and small central indentation; lateral lobes hardly pronounced. Copulatory openings on either side of posterior margin. Internal structure dominated by large lobate ducts. Male unknown. Known geographical distribution: Guinea ( Fig. 62 ).
