Gymnetron eoum
Rosenschoeld, 1838
Gymnetron eoum
was described from female specimens collected in
Nepal
, without precise locality, on
Verbascum niveum
and reported as being closely related to
Gymnetron tetrum
(presently
Rhinusa tetra
). Subsequently no authors referred to this taxon other than
Klima (1934)
, who quoted it as a valid species. At NHRS we examined a female
syntype
labelled “
Typus
/ Nepaul [the then name of the present
Nepal
] in semin:
Verbasci
nivei, Falderm.” (
lectotype
here designated). The specimen fully agrees with the
lectotype
of
R. tetra
.
