Notes This section consists of scandent species found mostly in the Atlantic Forests of Brazil with the notable exception of B. glabra , which is found as far north as Mexico and across Amazonia, including in Peru . It is superficially similar to B. sect. Rossmannia but can be distinguished by its axillary, cymose inflorescences rather than terminal, thyrsoid inflorescences.
