A single female specimen was collected from the Col du Zad in the Middle Atlas at an elevation of 2100 m (full collecting details below). The Moroccan specimen differed from the barcode sequence generated from the holotype male of A. lusitania (IBIHM998-21) by just 0.72%. The presence of A. lusitania in the Middle Atlas further reinforces the ecological link between Iberia and the Middle Atlas as seen here for Euandrena and Micrandrena , as well as other Andrena lineages ( Wood 2023 ).
