Originally described quite inadequately from “Hsin-Tien, Taipei” ( Wang 1955 ), this species was later recorded first from “Taipei” ( Wang 1958 ) and then from Dah Ren Jen ( Wang 1963 ). Topotype material from the Taipei region is necessary to revise A. trapezoidus . Wang’s types , claimed to have been deposited in the Taiwan Museum, can be presumed to be lost.
