REMARKS: Previous listings of the type species have it as a junior synonym of Ortalis guttata Meigen, 1830 , but this is incorrect. Robineau-Desvoidy’s 1830 paper came out 6 June while Meigen’s 1830 paper came out six months later on 1 December [see References in this paper for dating of the former and Evenhuis (1997: 533) for dating of the latter]. EMENDATIONS: Myorhis Agassiz, 1846b: 243 (unjustified); Myorrhis Verrall in Scudder, 1882: 219 (unjustified).
