Type series : Cabanis (1873a: 64) explicitly based this species on a single female, which is thus its holotype (see also Taczanowski 1875 : 510). The specimen is deposited in the MIZ ( Sztolcman & Domaniewski 1927 : 179, Mlíkovský 2009b ), although Taczanowski (1889) omitted it from the list of type specimens housed in the MIZ. Holotype : MIZ 34287 (P.2582), Ƥ, collected by Jelski on 29 October 1870 at "Monterico" [= Monterrico, Peru ]. Type locality : "Monterico" ( Cabanis 1873a: 64 ), i.e. Monterrico, Peru [ 12.05°S , 74.10°W ].
