Gnathia grutterae Ferreira, Smit & Davies, 2010 was reported from seven host fish species of the families Balistidae , Labridae and Tetraodontidae collected at Lizard Island ( Ferreira et al . 2010 ). The present specimens were collected from dead coral and coral rubble. The specimens from Heron Island are very similar to the type material, but the major frontolateral processes are laterally slightly crenulated ( Fig. 26A, B ), more than seen in the type specimens (figs 1 and 6 in Ferreira et al . 2010 ). Distribution . Lizard Island, Heron Island, Queensland; at depths of 16 to 26 m .
