Remarks: Villiers (1962: 465) designated a holotype for this species; it is now deposited in RMCA. No paratypes were mentioned. A single male deposited in the MNHN is from the same locality as the holotype , but since it was not listed in the original description, it has no type status, with no regard to the paratype label it bears.
