Collection and Habitat data. Specimens were captured from June to September in NH using FIT, Malaise, pitfall, and window traps, and by sweeping marsh grasses. Specimens were found in pine-oak barrens, in pitfall traps placed in a slough zone and a fern zone, in an old burned field, a beaver pond area, on a fungus, feeding on carrion, and by a fish bait can. Elsewhere found in open habitats such as fields, sea beaches, and river margins, on carrion (dead fish, eel, bat, muskrat, squirrel); also, in other kinds of decaying organic matter such as dog scat, wrack on sea beaches, and in well rotted mushrooms ( Klimaszewski 1984 , Klimaszewski et al. 2018 ).
