Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Pont (1991) ; Abu-Zoherah et al . (1993) ; El-Hawagry et al. (2018) . It was described from Sweden . In Arabia it was recorded from Egypt , Israel , Jordan , Oman , Saudi Arabia , Turkey and United Arab Emirates ( Pont 1991 ; Deeming 2008 ; Vikhrev 2016 ). Taxonomic remarks. Pont (1991) reported that Al-Houty (1989) recorded L. pygmaea from Kuwait (Page: 142; Photo 472) but it is an obvious misidentification as the photograph shows an anthomyiid. FIGURE. 59–62.
