Etymology: From the Latin
latus
(broad or wide) and
basilaris
(at the base), describing the basal area of the median piece where it meets the hood.
Diagnosis: This species is most similar to
A. londti
sp. n.
in terms of coloration, but differs greatly from it and others species due to the very distinct shape of the trifoliate process that has the basal area where the median piece and hood meet very wide when viewed in profile.
