Dorsal fin with 11 or 12, pectoral fin with 15, pelvic fin with 9, anal fin with 26-29 and caudal fin with 19 rays. Ground color yellowish; longitudinal series of dark-brown spots on flank scales; dark-brown transverse band on posterior portion of caudal peduncle, extending to distal margin of median caudal-fin rays.
