Material examined : 8 specimens , Station S14, 04°42′39"N 114°26′24.6"E , 12.7 m depth, sand. 1♀, 2 juveniles , Station S18, 04°41′30"N 114°27′13.5"E , 7.5 m depth, sand. Both coll. March 2009 . Remarks . Bamber et al ., (2012) recorded this species off Brunei in a depth range of 0 to 8 m depth, and figured the female cheliped for the first time. The present samples confirm its presence in the shallower waters (only) off this coastline, extending its depth range here down to 12.7 m . No specimens were found at the numerous stations sampled from 20 to 90 m depth. The only other records of Pagurapseudopsis gracilipes are the types collected by Shiino (1963) off South Vietnam , in depths of 8 to 14 m , on mud.
