Diagnosis: Micropterous. Of medium size. Body elongate ovate; sparsely covered with stiff, erect bristles. Head shorter than width across eyes; anterior process short; eyes semiglobose, protruding laterally on two short stalks (
Fig. 1
); postocular border convergent, without tubercles; antennae less than twice as long as width across eyes; first and third segments subequal in length, second and fourth segments subequal in length, first stout, clavate; second tapering toward base, third cylindrical, fourth fusiform; rostrum arising from a slitlike opening of atrium, not reaching limits of rostral groove (

). Pronotum less than three times as wide as long at midline; collar narrow; lateral margins strongly produced forward as subrectangular lobes, with round tip, subparallel at humeri, posterior margin slightly convex backward. Scutellum large, subtriangular, flanked by 2 (1+1) large deep impressions at middle. Hemelytra reduced to small pads laterad of scutellum, lateral margins protruding into tubercles. Meso- and metanota and tergum I fused together, divided into 2 (1+1) portions by scutellum; metanotum and tergum I sloping towards median. Legs slender, without spines; trochanters distinct. Tegum II divided into 2 (1+1) triangular portions by abdominal central dorsal plate; latter pentagonal, consisting of terga III to VI (

). Lateral margins of connexiva of male subparallel; of female, rounded. Paratergite VIII clavate or dentiform (
Figs. 3–5
). Metathoracic scent gland canal obliquely elevating and curving dorsally, visible from above. Sterna III to VI raised along posterior border, depressed along anterior border; lateral plates with deep pits (female) or granules (male); sternum VII of male with 2 (1+1) ovate depressions (
Fig. 5

Etymology: The generic name refers to the eyes’ being situated on two stalklike processes.
Remarks: The new genus is similar to
Lophocoris
Usinger & Matsuda
in general body plan, but the lateral margins of the pronotum of the new genus protrude forward into subrectangular lobes (vs. lateral pronotal margins produced anteriorly and in front of humeri into two prominent fingerlike lobes in
Lophocoris
Usinger & Matsuda
). The habitus and the ovate depressions of sternum VII of male, with 2 (1+1), resemble those of the genus
Neartabanus
Heiss
; but the new genus is micropterous, and all femora lack spines (vs. brachypterous or macropterous, with preapical spines on all femora in
Neartabanus
Heiss
). The central dorsal plate of the abdominal pentagon resembles that of the genus
Apaniocoris
Komilev
, which is also micropterous; but the eyes are situated on two stalklike processes, the lateral pronotal margins protrude forward into subrectangular lobes in the new genus (vs. eyes normal, lateral margins of pronotum slightly sinuate in
Apaniocoris
Komilev
). The four genera can be distinguished with the following key.
