Description. Body fuscous. Head narrower than pronotum. Eyes gray to black. Crown usually with median dark patch on vertex, anterior margin rounded or slightly angulately produced, coronal suture distinct basally. Face dark, flat in profile, anteclypeus and lorum broad, anteclypeus ovoid. Pronotum with five oval gray impressed patches near anterior margin. Pronotum almost entirely brown. Forewing dark brown, with first apical cell broadest and second apical cell narrowest, fourth apical cell not extended to tip of wing, about half length of third, AA and AP vein visible or not. Hind wing transparent, slightly smoky, RA vein usually present, submarginal vein (av) developed. Abdominal apodemes only presented in or slightly exceeding sternite III. Anal tube long, without appendage. Pygofer lobe usually angled, seldom rounded, with group of rigid setae from lower basal angle to distal half. Dorsal appendage articulated to lobe, long and slim, apex pointed. Subgenital plate exceeding hind margin of pygofer side, broadened subbasally and narrowing towards middle, with about 4 macrosetae near outer margin, numerous spiculate setae along dorsal margin subbasally; several microsetae scattered on apical part. Style with truncated apex, several sensory pits near preapical lobe, preapical lobe distinct Connective Y-shaped. Aedeagal shaft tubular, usually with pair of processes. Distribution. Oriental, Palaearctic regions.
