Diagnosis:
Large cosmetids with long, strong but entirely unarmed legs. Dorsal scutum beta-type with weakly marked constrictions (

). Scutal areas without prominent ornamentation (spines or tubercles) or with spines in area III. Some species with dimorphic chelicera (
P. ornata

). Coxa IV entirely visible and concave in dorsal view (

).
