Coll.Yerbury ” [ NHMUK ] , examined by RW. Diagnosis . This species is clearly recognizable among congeners in having the head and mesosoma black with white markings; fu 1 –fu 3 with joints ventro-basally fulvous; metasoma testaceous yellow; wings hyaline and iridescent, veins and tegulae testaceous; head with a remarkable subcordate grooved or bilobed projection on front, above base of antennae; mesonotum with two parallel well-marked longitudinal furrows; propodeum rounded posteriorly, with a medial longitudinal furrow; metasoma short, slightly laterally compressed. Distribution . Sri Lanka (Trincomalee);? India ( Uttarakhand ) ( Bingham 1896 ; Móczár 1985 ). Note. Móczár (1985) reports a specimen examined from Mussoorie collected by Rothney named Ceropales (= Irenangelu s) albomaculatus , type originating from now Uttarakhand , India , deposited at Oxford. However, no such synonymy could be traced to the species. The synonym Hypsiceraeus albovariegatus Cameron, 1915 is originally found in sources as doubtful taxon within Hypsiceraeus ( Morice & Durrant 1915 ) .
