Type species: Eulomalus vermicipygus Cooman, 1937 : 98 . Original designation. Remarks. The genus Eulomalus was erected by Cooman (1937) for seven newly described species and 14 species transferred from the genus Paromalus . Thereafter, two additional species were described ( Cooman 1941 ; Thérond 1965 ). Mazur (1984 , 1997 ) transferred another two species from the genus Paromalus to this genus. Thus, before this study the genus Eulomalus included 25 species worldwide. They occur mainly in Oriental and Australian Regions; only one is found in Africa ( Seychelles ). Before this study, only two species have been found in China ( Mazur 1997 ; Löbl & Smetana 2004 ). In this paper, we describe one new species from Hainan province and record four other species for the first time in China .
