Tubercles perforate and crenulate. Primary spines slender, brittle, hollow, or with a partially-filled core, serrated. Peristome encircled by club-shaped spines, and buccal plates. Preserved specimen light brown to purplish with white spines. Global maximum size. Maximum test diameter 16 mm . Global distribution. Endemic to South coast of South Africa, at 720–820 m depth ( Mortensen, 1939 ; Clark & Courtman-Stock 1976 ). Remarks. Represented by just one specimen (MBC-A 022216 ) in the Iziko collection.
