( Figs 9–14 ) Description. Female ( holotype ). Body length 350. Body dark brown except eye silvery white, scape and legs yellow, and pedicel light brown; wings hyaline. Head ( Fig. 9 ) 0.8× as wide as mesosoma, with vertex transversely striate. Scape ( Fig. 10 a, b) 1.5× as long as pedicel; F1 1.75× as long as F2; F3 2.6× as long as wide; F4 and F5 subequal; F5 and F6 equal, F6 and F7 subequal; clava 1.8× as long as combined length of F5–F7, with 4 mps. Mesosoma ( Fig. 13 ) as long as gaster ( Fig. 14 ), mesoscutum about 0.3× as long as wide, with convex, transversely striate sculpture, more arched medially, and with setae on midlobe short; axillar seta long; scutellum 0.6× as long as wide, with lateral longitudinal striations along length, medially the striations converge to meet. Fore wing ( Fig. 11 ) 9.2× as long as wide; disc with 5 dorsal and 3 ventral rows of setae in apical half; longest marginal seta 3.8× maximum wing width. Hind wing ( Fig. 12 ) 24.5× as long as wide; disc with 1 row of dorsal setae, longest marginal seta 9.0× maximum wing width. FIGURES 6–8. Sophis Singh. Distribution. India : Manipur. Etymology. The species is named after the mymarid specialist, Dr. John T. Huber of the Canadian National Collections of Insects, Arachnids and Nematodes, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (CNC).
