This species was described as an ectoparasitoid associated with galls of
Eurytoma gallephedrae
Askew (Eurytomidae)
on
Ephedra nebrodensis
in
Spain
(
Askew and Blasco-Zumeta 1998
). It belongs to the
orientalis
group, the female gaster having a median dorsal longitudinal carina divided by a fine groove, and it is closely related to
O. orientalis
.
