(1) Outline: trapezoid; (2) excisura: deeply incised, U- or V-shaped; (3) rostrum: slightly longer than the antirostrum; (4) antirostrum: tip slightly bent in the ventral direction in the specimen illustrated in Figure 5b ; (5) dorsal rim: slightly convex ( Figure 5a ) or distinctly convex ( Figure 5b ) and crenulate; (6) posterior rim: provided with a broadened edge (see Figure 5a ) on the sulcus level; (7) ventral rim: straight, crenulate; (8) crista superior: bulging; the area above the crista is more ( Figure 5a ) or less ( Figure 5b ) distinctly deepened; (9) crista inferior: weakly developed; the area beneath shows knobs or is granulated; (10) inner face: flat or moderately convex; (11) outer face: thickened in the posterior part or completely flat with concave tendency; one pair of otoliths is biconvex with a distinctly convex outer face.
