India : Karnataka ( Mathur 1975 ), Uttahakhand ( Mathur 1975 ). Host plant. Ficus microcarpa (Moraceae) . Comments. Hayat and Khan (2014) listed Macrohomotoma gladiata Kuwayama, 1908 (as gladiatum ) on Ficus religiosa as host of the encyrtid Psyllaephagus punensis Hayat & Khan, 2014 from India : Maharashtra . This is a likely misidentification of another species, possibly not even of Macrohomotoma . There is no identification key for immatures of Macrohomotoma species and the authors apparently did not have adults at hand. M. gladiata occurs in China , Taiwan and Japan (Ryuku Islands) and has been introduced into the Mediterranean Basin and North America. It is monophagous on Ficus microcarpa .
