Remarks. The type is seriously damaged by an old dermestid attack. It lacks the antennae (except scapus), the compound eyes, part of the scapal basin, tibia and tarsi of the left foreleg, both hindlegs and the sternites and internal urites. Also the first metasomal tergite is partially damaged. Current status. Praestochrysis spina ( Brulle , 1846) (synonymised and transferred by Kimsey and Bohart 1991 : 535).
