Remarks.
This species has a wide distributional range in Europe, North Africa and the western parts of Asia. It inhabits xerothermophilous grassland habitats where adults feed on flowers of various herbaceous plants (e.g.,
Daucus carota
,
Tithymalus
). The larvae described by
Odnosum (2010)
feed on the stems of
Asteraceae
plants (e.g.,
Arctium
,
Centaurea salonitana
).
