Remarks

Siegel-Causey (1982)
reported
H. luzoni
as a very rare species in the Gulf of
California
. During his study it was recorded from two sites only, in the epipelagic layers in the southern Gulf and in deep water (
1087 m
) in the northern Gulf.
García Madrigal (2007)
mentioned it as an epipelagic, coastal species.
