Conservation status:
—Critically Endangered (CR) – B 1 ab (iii) + 2 ab (iii); D. So far, known only from
Armenia
. Only one location is known. Population consists of 20 shoots (2016) and 10 (2017). Limiting factors are restricted EOO and AOO, and predicted climate change.
Notes:

Phelipanche hajastanica
morphologically resembles
P. pulchella
,
P. bungeana
and
P. caesia
but differs in several characteristics (detailed and comparative table in

).
