Psammophis lineolatus is fairly common in the steppe and sand dune habitats of our study area, being observed on average about once per week. The species was, overall, the most frequently observed snake species during the course of our fieldwork. The species has been previously mapped as occurring throughout our study area ( Bannikov 1971 ; Sindaco et al. 2011 ).
