Remarks.
The recognition of
Bruchus ventralis
was based on personal notes by John M. Kingsolver on this type specimen and a male homotype deposited at USNM and identified by J. M. Kingsolver in 1979. Here,
Sennius ventralis
(NEW COMBINATION)
is formally proposed due mainly to the hind femur with one tooth at inner ventral margin, and internal sac of male genitalia with hinge sclerites.
