D. Manley. Linognathus setosus is an ectoparasite of both domestic and feral dogs. This louse is rarely collected in South Carolina possibly because pet owners use systemic pesticides to control nematodes, ticks, fleas, and other ectoparasites. Feral dogs and coyotes might be infested with L. setosus .
