A. G. Bugrov & I. E. Jetybayev ) (AİBÜEM); TURKEY : all specimens given in Ünal (2007b) . Remarks. Ramme (1951: 410) in describing this subspecies distinguished it from the nominotypical subspecies by the remarkably smaller body, the pronotum with less rough sculpture and slightly narrower dark band of the hind wings, differences present in the specimens studied by Ramme ( MfN ). Nevertheless , the comparison with other specimens collected from Azerbaijan , Iran and Turkey allowed to conclude that the differences observed by Ramme are not stable in accordance with the distributions of both subspecies. Similarly with the nominotypical subspecies, the size is large and the pronotal tubercles rough in the specimes collected from Iğdır Province of Turkey , very close to the type locality of Asiotmethis turritus armeniacus , Erevan , Armenia . The type locality of this species is Karabagh uplands, W. of Azerbaijan ( Uvarov 1943: 55 ).
