The new species is similar to Trifida melichari (Distant, 1908) in color pattern and male genitalia, but can be distinguished from the later by aedeagus with two different length protrusions on middle length of shaft and with subapical part of process of dorsal apodeme slender . Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ elongatus ” which means “elongated”, referring to its longer apical part of process of dorsal apodeme of aedeagus.
