Melanopsis graellsii var. elatior Pallary, 1924
Original source.
Pallary 1924
: 250.
Type locality.
"Gandia (Valencia)", Spain.
Remarks.
Not available from
Rossmaessler
(1854), to whom Pallary referred, because
Rossmaessler
did not use the term "
elatior
" to denote a species-group taxon but only cited
Ferussac's
(1823)
description of an unnamed variety of
Melanopsis dufourii
. Pallary briefly described the taxon (by indicating its size) and therefore made the name available.
