A short series of specimens of the species was collected in the Maputo Special Reserve is externally nearly identical with M. bispermutata specimens, but obviously belong to M. monofascia according to the genitalia morphology. The safe separation of M. monofascia from M. bispermutata requires genitalia dissection. New country record for Mozambique .
