Description:
Male:
Body elongate-ovoid, length 3.3 (
Fig. 3
).
Colouration

Fig. 3A, B
). Labium: all segments yellowish (
Fig. 3C
). Pronotum: collar medially stramineous; callosite region stramineous; disc mostly yellowish with two L-shaped dark stripes (
Fig. 3A, B
). Scutellum: yellowish (
Fig. 3A

Fig. 3A
). Thoracic pleura and metathoracic scent glands (MTG): propleuron, mesepimeron, mesepisternum and metepisternum in various shades of brown; metepisternal evaporative area in anterior part brown, in posterior part yellowish, peritreme ivory (
Fig. 3C
). Legs: all legs stramineous, the femora of the hind legs with a light brown band, apical part slightly coloured red (
Fig. 3C
). Abdomen: yellowish in the middle part, brown at the lateral edges (
Fig. 3C
).

Biology:
Unknown. The specimen was attracted to a light trap (bulb “MIX”-
type
250 W, E40) in the rainforest (

is known only from the
type
locality in
New Caledonia
(
Fig. 1
).
Etymology:
The species is named after the yellow spot on its head, which contrasts sharply with the black head. The name derives from the Latin words "
