Diagnosis
. Body small to moderately big (TL
3.4–4.2 mm
), colouration variable, from yellowish brown to dark brown, elytral suture often darkened. Certain identification possible on the basis of male genital characters: lateral plates of penis with minute denticles on outer edge in apical portion, trigonium narrow, much narrower than parameroids, curved laterally; parameroids elongated, apices truncate, with serrated edges, tegmen subrectangular with narrow parameres.
Description
. Male. Body elongated, small to moderately big (TL
3.4–4.2 mm
), moderately convex. Two
types
of body colouration—lighter and darker: yellowish brown with darker stripe along elytral suture, head and pronotum darker brown and uniformly dark brown body with lighter brown legs. Punctation on head and pronotum dense, granulate, punctures touching each other, sparser on tubercles in lower part of pronotum. Punctation on elytra simple, coarse, punctures separated by 0.5× diameter of a puncture. Body covered with medium long, protruding, yellowish setae, pointed towards the middle of pronotum. Supraantennal ridges well-marked, elevated triangularly. Pronotum relatively narrow, widest slightly before middle of its length, sides slightly curved, lateral carinae crenulate, anterolateral angles produced, pointed triangularly, posterolateral angles right-angled; base of pronotum with longitudinal depression along posterior margin. Elytra without carinae, humeri well-marked. Ventrite 5 rounded, apex truncate. Penis (L
0.65 mm
,
W
0.39
mm) elongate, with explanate lateral lobes, outer margin of apical portions of apical plates with minute denticles; trigonium narrow, curved laterally, usually at right angle, shorter than parameroids; parameroids elongated, apices truncate, with serrated edges, apical part covered with punctures; pala wide, triangular, much shorter than parameroids. Tegmen (L
0.67 mm
,
W
0.39
mm) subrectangular, with narrow rectangular parameres, apices truncate, with scarce punctures and few setae.
Female unknown.
