P. strixinorum was found on marginal rocks of small streams, at 1045 m a.s.l., extending slightly the altitudinal range of the species. Environmental characterization: Water temperature 17 °C; dissolved oxygen 8.6 mg.l-1; pH 5; fast flowing; reduced vegetal canopy (less than 20% covered). The species was found in PESM ( Sao Paulo State) extending the geographical records to northernmost. Low altitudinal specificity (IndVal: 0.17; p = 0.85). Unknown species. Parakiefferiella sp. 1.
