Notes.
This genus, with about ten species known to occur in Madagascar, was transferred from the subfamily
Galerucinae
to the
Alticinae
(currently the tribe
Alticini
) by
Biondi and
D'Alessandro
(2010a)
. The reason being the presence of a metafemoral spring, very similar to that described for the Oriental genus
Mandarella
Duvivier (1892b: 433) (cf.
Furth and Suzuki 1994
).
