Type species: Symplanella breviceps Fennah, 1987 , by original designation. Diagnosis. Coryphe elongate, 1.5 times as long medially as wide between eyes. Metope narrow, twice longer than wide between eyes. Pronotum with narrow medial part and strongly acutely angulated anterior margin. Penis wide and flattened laterally, with short tubular apical part. Style with long and narrow caudo-dorsal angle and long neck, with capitulum bearing finger-shaped process apically. Hind margins of male pygofer with weak processes. Composition and distribution. Monotypical taxon, with the type species known from eastern Myanmar and southern Thailand .
