Remarks.
The male forewing has a circular pocket at base of 1A+2A vein in
H. simplex
. This species is similar to
H. impar
Walsingham
, but can be separated by the characters as follows: forewing without conspicuous patches and fasciae except for the costal streaks and a thin sinuate streak near termen, and uncus produced into two weak processes. In
H. impar
, forewing bears a white triangular patch and the uncus is mound-like in the male genitalia.
