Forewing length 8.5 mm . Specimens examined. 1♂ , CHINA : Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region , Mt. Mao’er , alt. 1,100 m , 20 April 2002 , coll. S. Hao & H. Xue , genitalia slide no. WXP02530 . Distribution. China ( Guangxi ). Remarks. The male forewing has a circular pocket at base of 1A+2A vein in H. simplex . This species is similar to H. impar Walsingham , but can be separated by the characters as follows: forewing without conspicuous patches and fasciae except for the costal streaks and a thin sinuate streak near termen, and uncus produced into two weak processes. In H. impar , forewing bears a white triangular patch and the uncus is mound-like in the male genitalia.
