Recognition characters:
Gray species; length
5–6 mm
; mystax yellowish white composed of 4–6 bristles; relatively large, widely spaced eyes; thorax humped, gray pollinose; scutellum gray pollinose lacking setae and bristles; wings dark brown; abdomen brown pollinose; legs, yellowish brown, dark brown ring at apex of tibiae, hind tibiae and first tarsal segment expanded slightly.
