Recognition characters:
Brownish gray species; length
14–16 mm
; mystax black above, white below; thorax brown and gray pollinose; scutellar setae white, bristles 4 black; wings hyaline with dark tinge at apex; abdomen gray pollinose with brown pollinose areas dorsally; lateral setae on first abdominal segment white; legs reddish brown with femora black anteriorly.
