Meristic characters

Diagnosis
: Body olivaceous to silvery. Barbels absent. Ventral keel extend from isthmus to anus. Edge of last simple dorsal ray not serrated. It can be distinguished by
H. nobilis
by having sharp scaleless keel from pectoral region to anal origin. Long and slender gill rakers, head length 24–29% SL.

: Introduced widely everywhere, found in all Iranian basins.
