Remarks
. The species has been reported from
Argentina
and
Chile
(
Metcalf 1963c
). It has been reported from
Catamarca
,
Chubut
,
La Rioja
,
Mendoza
, Santa Cruz, and
Tucumán
Provinces (
Berg 1879
;
Breddin 1897
;
Delétang 1919
;
Hayward 1942
;
Torres 1944
).
Torres (1944)
argued that previous references to
T. chilensis
in
Argentina
were actually references to different or undescribed species. In his revision of the genus,
Torres (1958a)
records the species as restricted to central
Chile
and not part of
the Argentine
fauna.
