A series of photographs shows the wasp detaching the limbs of the wandering spider with her mandibles as it laid, dorsal side upward, on the ground ( Gomes 2020 ) . FRENCH GUIANA : Cayenne State, RĂ©gina Commune , 13 km W of Bita on Aratai Creek; 2 October 2015 ; S. Meierotto (smeierotto). Host: Unidentified species ( Ctenidae ), adult or subadult female. Two photographs show the wasp straddling the paralyzed wandering spider, venter to dorsum, grasping the base of its chelicera with her mandibles ( Meierotto 2020 ).
