The wasp dragged the paralyzed barn orbweaver backwards on the ground, ventral side upward, grasping its left hind coxa with her mandibles ( Valle 2015 ). : State of S„o Paulo, Rio Claro, Horto Florestal Edmundo Navarro de Andrade; 11 March 1976 ; F. A. Matthiesen. Host : Trichonephila clavipes (Linnaeus) (Golden silk orbweaver) ( Araneidae ), subadult female. The wasp was collected with the host spider and deposited in the S„o Paulo State University ( UNESP ) entomological collection ( V . Ghirotto, UNESP , S„o Paulo, Brazil , 2018 pers. comm.) .
