Gallagher. Host: Arctosa sp. ( Lycosidae ), penultimate female. The wasp grasped the wolf spider with her mandibles and dragged it rapidly backwards on the ground over plant debris. She paused to examine the paralyzed spider using her antennae and mouthparts. Continuing to pull the spider backwards on the ground, she disappeared into a burrow beneath plant debris ( Gallagher 2016 ; J. Gallagher, Woodbridge, VA, 2017 pers. comm.).
