Rhyparus breviceps
is a somewhat variable species, with insufficiently known distribution. It was described and so far known only from
Papua New Guinea
(
Paulian 1984
;
Stebnicka 1998
;
Mencl
et al.
2013
). This is the first record for the
Solomon Islands
.
