Thach (2015)
mentioned that this species differs from the
B. cambojiensis
in possessing a more depressed shell, slightly angular periphery and a monochrome dark colour below the periphery. The living specimen figured by
Thach (2015
: figs 17, 19) shows a similar aulacopod foot sole with less developed caudal horn than in the type species. An examination of the reproductive organs or molecular data are required to determine its systematic status.
